WHAT I HAVE BEEN UP TO

No rant today, just something from my training.  Enjoy.

  1. It looks like you are ready to crush that 601lb deadlift. How does the TDL compare to a regular bar in terms of weights?

    1. Yeah, I've hit 601 for a single, but looking forward to being able to hit it for reps.

I LOVE training with a texas deadlift bar. It's a lot easier on the back, because the whip in the bar means that you don't actively start pulling until about an inch or two up from the starting point. It's all flex before that. It's also helpful for hitching the weight up.

For competition though, I like a stiffer bar. The lack of whip means I get better leg drive from the start.
